Lotus Esprit

The new Lotus Esprit represents the very essence of exclusive supercar driving. It picks up and exceeds the legacy of it’s forefathers. The Esprit car features an aggressive front bumper, LED daytime driving lights, and a center-mounted dual exhaust system.  Inside, the cabin has a minimalist design with a sport steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and carbon fiber trim.

Lotus Esprit is the ultimate supercar. There’s a fine balance between acknowledging the greatness of the past whilst at the same time rapidly leaping forward to the future and ensuring that this car not only does the name Esprit justice but also the Lotus brand. I think we’ve managed to find the balance and in doing so created a new icon, a car people will find hard to resist.

Lotus Esprit Powered is provided by a supercharged 5.0L V-8 engine with 550 PS (405 kW / 543 hp). It is connected to a 7-speed paddle-shift transmission, which should enable the 1495 kg (3,296lb) car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in under 3.5 seconds. Of course, if that doesn’t sound fast enough, Lotus will happily sell you an Esprit R with 620 PS (456 kW / 612 hp).
